Privacy Policy for vSourceCode Effective Date: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information vSourceCode collects on vsourcecode.com, including the vGate™ pages and the vBot™ chat assistant, why we collect it, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it in plain words and kept it specific to how this site actually works.
1. Who we are
vSourceCode is run by Vikas K, who is also the person responsible for privacy questions. You can reach him at vikas@vsourcecode.com.
2. Information you give us
- Enquiry and free-draft forms: your name, email address, website or business name, industry, the plan you are interested in, and anything you type in the message box (for example your monthly ad spend). If you picked a design example, its name is sent with the form.
- vBot chat: the questions you type and the answers vBot gives. If you type an email address, phone or WhatsApp number, or your website, vBot passes it to Vikas together with the recent conversation so he can reply.
- Free-draft projects: the details, text and images you send so we can build your draft.
- Performance Briefs: your email address, if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Email: anything you send us directly.
3. Information collected automatically
Our pages use V Analytics™, one lightweight first-party script that records how a page is used, so we can improve it. It records:
- which page you viewed, when, and whether you have visited before (a visit count and the number of days since your first visit);
- how far you scrolled, how long each section of the page was on screen, and whether the page was in view, including when you switched to another tab or app and when you came back;
- how many times you moved the mouse, scrolled or pressed a key, as counts only. We never record what you type unless you submit a form or send a chat message;
- which buttons, menu items and design examples you clicked, and whether you clicked into a form;
- your device type, browser, operating system, browser version (user-agent), screen width, connection type and how quickly the page loaded;
- your approximate location (city, region and country), which our hosting provider, Cloudflare, works out from your network address. We use it to show your city on some pages and to understand where visitors come from. Our own analytics and chat records do not store your IP address;
- if you arrived from an ad, the ad click ID (for example Google’s gclid) and the address of the page that sent you, so we can tell which ads lead to enquiries.
V Analytics cannot see other tabs or other websites you visit, and it does not identify you. A random session ID and a visit counter are kept in your browser’s local storage so a return visit can be recognised. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
4. Cookies and Google services
Some pages load Google’s tag (gtag.js) so Google Ads can measure when an ad click leads to an enquiry. We may also use Google Analytics on some pages to understand how the site is used. Google may set cookies or use similar technology for these services. We use Google Search Console to see how our pages appear in Google Search; it reports on Google’s search results and does not track you on our pages. Google’s use of that data is covered by its own policy: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can control ad personalisation in Google’s Ad Settings or block cookies in your browser settings.
5. How we use information
- to reply to your enquiry or chat message, usually within 12 hours;
- to build, review and deliver your free draft and any paid work;
- to send Performance Briefs if you subscribed;
- to understand which parts of our pages help visitors and which do not, and to improve them;
- to measure which ads and search terms lead to real enquiries;
- to keep the site secure and to detect bots and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
6. Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site, runs vBot and stores vBot conversation and enquiry records.
- Google receives form submissions and analytics events through Google Apps Script, stores them in Google Sheets and Gmail, and provides Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries, so your information may be handled outside your own province, state or country. We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
- vBot conversations and the enquiry records vBot creates: up to 180 days, then deleted automatically.
- Enquiries and project correspondence: for as long as we are discussing or working with you, and afterwards for as long as we need them for our business and legal records.
- Free drafts that are not approved: the preview is taken down 7 days after delivery. We keep a private record of the draft (dated screenshots and code) as proof of authorship. We may reuse the layout as a new example only after removing every name, logo, piece of text and image that could identify you.
- V Analytics records: up to 24 months.
8. How we protect it
Access is limited to Vikas and the service providers listed above, and those accounts are protected with their providers’ security controls. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep only what we need.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to our using it at any time. Email vikas@vsourcecode.com and we will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
- Canada: you have these rights under PIPEDA and, in Quebec, Law 25. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
- United States: residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the right to know, correct and delete their personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
- Europe and the UK: you have the rights above, plus the right to object to our processing, to restrict it, to receive your data in a portable form, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the way the site works changes. The effective date at the top always shows the latest version.
12. Payment, Refund and Return Policy
Before you pay: every vGate™ page starts with a free working draft on a private preview link, with up to two rounds of changes. No payment or card is needed until you approve it in writing, and if you do not approve it, you owe nothing. The full terms are at vsourcecode.com/vgate/draft. Other engagements start with a free audit, so you can assess the work before any money changes hands.
After you pay: paid services are engineering deliverables. Once you have approved the work and paid, no refunds are issued. There is no returns process and no cooling-off window. Cancellation of monthly plans follows the terms agreed with you before they start.
Services are delivered digitally and are available worldwide; the free vGate™ draft is for businesses in the United States and Canada. No physical goods are sold or shipped.
